If you’ve ever wanted to watch Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones fly really high up into the air in a hot air balloon, look no further. Decider’s got you covered with an exclusive clip from The Aeronauts, an adventure film from Amazon Studios that’s headed to Prime Video tomorrow.

It’s a film that’s kinda, sorta based on a true story. The true story part is Redmayne’s character, James Glaisher, was a real-life meteorologist who published many important weather-related findings, using data he gathered in a hot air balloon. In 1862, he broke the world record for altitude, reaching as high as an estimated 35,000 feet—the highest a human had ever gone before.

The not-so true story part is Jones’ character, Amelia Wren, a daredevil balloon pilot who takes James where he needs to go, but also not a real person. But true or not, Redmayne and Jones make a charming team in The Aeronauts, which takes place over the course of their historic and dangerous voyage into the sky.

In the above clip, Amelia and James witness the moment they ascend past the previous altitude record, which is 23,000 feet. James watches the number on his instruments climb higher and higher, while Amelia records the number in his book. Up until this point, Amelia has been more concerned with safety than in record-breaking, but even she is swept up in the historic moment, much to James’s delight.

“Oh, so you are interested,” James teases her when she prompts him to keep reading off the numbers.”

“You’re insufferable,” Amelia replies, grinning.

As we now know, but as they did not know in 1862, it’s very cold that high up in the air. Both Amelia and James are red in the face and sniffly from the low temperatures, but that doesn’t damper these adventurers’ excitement. You can watch the clip for yourself above, and then watch the full film from director Tom Harper on Amazon tomorrow.

The Aeronauts will be available on Amazon Prime Video this Friday, December 20.
